A conversation on promoting civic engagement and political leadership among women, hosted by the Young Women's Giving Council

Rebecca Sive, author of Every Day Is Election Day: A Woman's Guide to Winning Any Office, from the PTA to the White House, is a public affairs strategist who consults philanthropists, advocates, and aspiring woman leaders on tactics for gaining public influence to make the world a better place for women and girls. She'll lead a vibrant discussion with local women leaders, including Erie Neighborhood House Executive Director Celena Roldan-Moreno, Open Road Policy Founder and Principal Deanne Benos, Senate Democratic Victory Fund Finance Director Liz Nicholson, and Ideaction Corps President and Founder Kelly O’Brien. 

In advance of the City's elections, join the Chicago Foundations for Women's Young Women's Giving Council for a night of good conversation, inspiring ideas, and practical strategies for taking on new leadership roles and making a difference in your community.

About the Young Women’s Giving Council

The Young Women's Giving Council is the newest and largest of Chicago Foundation for Women’s three giving councils and consists of women of all ethnic backgrounds. The council's large membership speaks to the tremendous energy of young women to organize and take action around issues affecting their lives and to gain leadership experience. In 2013, the council granted to $12,000 to two worthy organizations.
