Pulitzer-prize-winning photojournalist Alysia Burton Steele

In honor of the passing of community leader and civil rights activist Rev. Willie Taplin Barrow, YWCA Metropolitan Chicago CEO, Dorri C. McWhorter, will facilitate an intimate discussion with Burton Steele, the author of the newly published Delta Jewels: In Search of My Grandmother's Wisdom. This book compiles photographs that are accompanied by stories about love, loss, education, voting rights, sharecropping, raising children and everything else that comes from being a black woman living in the south.
